Amber Interlinked Bracelet
Oval Amber gemstone set in a rhodium plated sterling silver bracelet.
Some amber pieces have inclusions of plants or insects, which were trapped in the sticky resin and subsequently fossilised. Sometimes Amber may be washed up on the coast from deposits under the sea. It is also mined in areas far from the sea, indicating that those areas were submerged at some point in geological history. The colour varies from pale yellow, to a golden colour, to a rare deep blue or black. It has been used for millennia as a decorative stone – both in jewellery and to decorate other objects.
