Moonstone
This is a silicate stone containing aluminium and potassium and appears to have a milky sheen, with the best stones possessing a bluish hue. Moonstone is known as a feminine stone and assists with gentleness, receptivity, and intuition.

Rose Quartz
A popular semi-precious stone, consisting of quartz with traces of titanium. It is known as 'The Venus Stone', as it promotes love and friendship and makes the wearer more receptive to beauty. When worn, emotions are calmed inducing a feeling of inner peace and increasing self-confidence.

Jade
Named by the Spanish  conquistadores 'piedra de ijada' meaning hip stone and worn on the hip to prevent kidney diseases. The two most common forms are Jadeite and Nephrite. Many colours are available, but the most popular is green. Attracts good luck, friendship and promotes wisdom.

Malachite
When worn it raises the spirits and induces a general feeling of happiness. It is believed to alleviate asthmatic problems and toothache. During Medieval times those who wore Malachite were said to be protected from the power of witches. The stone afforded special protection for children.

Lapis Lazuli
This stone often contains golden flecks of pyrite (iron sulphide). These golden flecks on the deep blue matrix of the stone resemble a clear star studded sky and thus the stone was known as 'The Night Stone'. Its rich blue colour made it a favourite with royalty. Lapis alleviates depression, relieves heart and spleen problems. A lovely delicate stone the deserves care from its wearer, as it is sensitive to hot water and cosmetics.

Black Onyx
Onyx, a form of chalcedony, is often artificially  coloured jet black. It aids concentration and self-control, whilst also balancing male and female polarities.

Amber
The Amber used by Outrage jewellers originates in the Baltic, but it can also be found in small amount in the Caribbean. Amber is frequently used in pieces of jewellery and to decorate utensils and furniture. Ancient people believed the sun’s rays were trapped in Amber and that it helps with absent-mindedness and headaches. It can also revitalise the mind, body and soul to help relieve emotional and physical wounds.

Paua Shell
Paua shell is formed from  the inner  nacreous shell  of molluscs. It is the Maori name for edible sea snails. Paua shell is thought to strengthen and soothe the body, particularly helping with fertility and nurturing.

Mother of Pearl
Mother of Pearl  is  a smooth, shining, iridescent, organic substance forming the inner layer of the shell of some  molluscs. This stone  heightens intuition, sensitivity, and  imagination  and  it is said to be a  particularly  potent stone for the protection of children.

Amethyst
Amethyst is often found inside Geode, which are spherical masses of minerals with an empty chamber inside. They need to be opened to reveal the crystal structures inside. Aid creativity and protects against blood disorders. It is the birthstone for Aquarius, Pisces and Sagittarius.
