Amber Insect Smoke Necklace
Smoky Amber gemstone with insect inclusion set in sterling silver complete with a silver chain.
Amber occurs in a range of hues from a pale yellowy white, to the most common golden or cogniac colour to a red, black or rarely blue colour.
The Amber used by Outrage jewellers originates in the Baltic. It can sometimes be found washed up on the sea shore, but is usually mined in areas where ancient forests grew and were subsequently submerged and covered by silt , thus creating the temperature and pressure conditions necessary for the creation of Amber . A process taking thousands of years , making each Amber piece special and unique.
