All the Amber stones are full of character and will transport you back over 44 million years to a time when vast tracts of the Baltic region were covered in ancient pine forests. Amber is the fossilised resin of ancient evergeen trees. Resin is extruded by trees as a form of protection . Once the trees fell to the forest floor they were slowly covered by sediments . The heat and pressure created by the weight of these materials caused the resin to oxidise and the process of molecular polymerization created beautiful Amber.

Ancient Baltic tribes believed Amber had spiritual and protective qualities. Chinese legends call Amber "the Soul of the Tiger" believing it had the ability to ward off evil and bring protection. Amber is still thought to be a powerful cleanser of body and mind .
