Moonstone is a form of Orthoclase Feldspar, formed from cooling magmas  deep within the Earth . Moonstone may be white , blue or pink in colour . 

Hindus and Roman myths suggested that moonbeams were captured and frozen in Moonstones, hence its magical appearance.  The Ancient Greeks suggested that two people wearing Moonstones would fall in love on the night of a full moon !!
