A white Moonstone with slightbt flashes of blue set in silver and 9ct gold plated. The result is a cute litle pendant with a wave design on the side which comes complete with an 18inch (45cm ) silver gold plated chain .

Moonstone is an Orthoclase Feldspar formed from cooling magmas  deep within the Earth. The magmas cooled at differing speeds creating thin layers of the minerals Albite and Orthoclase. These minerals have different reflective indexes so light entering the stone is scattered  and diffused creating the beautiful changes in colour known as adularescence and unique lines and patterns within the gemstone.

Hindu and Roman myths suggested that moonbeams were captured and frozen in Moonstones, hence its magical appearance. It was worn as an amulet by ancient travellers . 

It is regarded by many cultures as the stone of femininity and is the birthstone for Cancerians and Gemini.  It may improve intuition and creativity ,providing a calming effect .
