A faceted Green Amethyst gemstone set in silver . This sparkling oval shaped green Amethyst is hand mounted in a deep heavy silver setting with scalloped sides. The gemstone has facets all around the sides with a flat top surface and looks wonderful when moving in the light .  The ring has a height of 0.8cm making it a lovely statement piece. 

Green Amethyst is actually a mineral called Prasiolite formed when amethyst is exposed to intense hest and pressure as during volcanic activity . The green colour is due traces of aluminium , potassium, sodium  or iron within the gemstone. It has found in Brazil and Poland.
