Merlinite is also known as Dendritic Agate.  It is an intrusive igneous rock , consisting of white opalised agate with black and grey  tree like dendrites of psilomelane a black manganese oxide. It is found mainly in New Mexico in the U.S.A. with small deposits in Cornwall U.K.  Cornwall has a deep association with Arthurian legends and myths relating to the sorcerer Merlin, hence the name Merlinite evolved. 

Merlinite is thought to attracts magical experiences. May improve creativity ,intuition, promote prosperity and stabilizes the nervous system .
