Amber is the fossilised resin of ancient evergreen trees existing over 44 million years ago.  Once the trees fell to the forest floor they were slowly covered by sediments . The heat and pressure created by the weight of these materials caused the resin to oxidise and the process of molecular polymerization created beautiful Amber.

Ancient Baltic tribes believed Amber had spiritual and protective qualities. Chinese legends call Amber "the Soul of the Tiger" believing it had the ability to ward off evil and bring protection. Amber is still thought to be a powerful cleanser of body and mind .
