A white Moonstone gemstone hand set in silver with a delicately hammered edge. The moonstone is predominantly white with slight flashes of pale blue in the light. The pendant comes complete with an 18 inch silver chain. 

Moonstone is an Orthoclase Feldspar with thin layers of the minerals Albite and Orthoclase . These minerals have different reflective indexes so light entering the stone is scattered  and diffused creating the beautiful changes in colour known as adularescence and unique lines and patterns within the gemstone.  

Hindu and Roman myths suggested that moonbeams were captured and frozen in Moonstones hence its magical appearance. It is regarded by many cultures as the stone of femininity and is the birthstone for Cancerians and Gemini.  It may improve intuition and creativity ,providing a calming effect .
